The petitioner has filed the present application, inter alia, praying that the petitioner's name be included in the last batch of persons proceeding on the Kailash Manasarovar Parikarma and Yatra by the old route from Lipulekh Pass and reporting on 15.08.2018. The petitioner has been placed in the waiting list at serial no.81.

It is stated that the batch of persons proceeding on the aforesaid Yatra consists of sixty persons. If some of the persons drop out of the programme, their seats are offered to the remaining persons in the waiting list.

The petitioner states that despite above, the respondents have been unable to send full batch of sixty persons as there is paucity of time for completing the formalities by the persons placed on the wait list.

In this view, it is directed that all formalities in respect of the petitioner may be completed in anticipation of him being accommodated in the programme on account of other persons dropping out from the batch. However, it is clarified that the petitioner would be accommodated only according to his turn in the waiting list. The learned counsel appearing for the respondents further states that there is no impediment in completing all formalities including the medical exercise of the applicant; however, the respondent would apply for a visa only once the petitioner has been accommodated in the group as indicated above. It is so directed. 4.

The petitioner shall report for his medical examination on 04.08.2018 at the designated hospital.
