O R D E R

% 04.01.2017 On the complaint of respondent no.2, present FIR 316/16 was registered against the petitioner at police station Punjabi Bagh under Sections 354/354(A)/509 IPC. Respondent no.2 and petitioner are known to each other. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue pressure, force or coercion. She submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR in view of the settlement arrived at between her and the petitioner. Compromise deed dated 14th September, 2016 has been placed on record which is signed by the respondent no.2, her father as well as the witnesses including the students representative. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by the Investigating Officer.

In view of the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 that too at the investigation stage, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending more so, when respondent no.2 is not willing to pursue the FIR any further. Accordingly, FIR No. 316/16 under Sections 354/354(A)/506 IPC registered at police station Punjabi Bagh is quashed.

Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
