By way of this petition, the petitioner is seeking quashing of case FIR No.285/2011 under Sections 420/468/471 IPC registered at PS Burari and the proceedings arising therefrom on the ground of undue delay in completion of investigation and filing of charge-sheet. 2.

On 2nd December, 2016, it was submitted by learned ASC for the State that charge-sheet was filed a day before only. Thereafter, the matter was adjourned for 1st March, 2017 directing the State to file a detailed affidavit disclosing the fact as to why the filing of the charge-sheet has been unduly delayed.

On 1st March, 2017 it was recorded that detailed affidavit has been filed disclosing therein that the initial IO of the case was SI Ravi Kumar who had retained the file between the period 2011 and 2016. It was also mentioned in the affidavit that show cause notice was issued to SI Ravi W.P.(CRL) 3330/2016

Kumar.

In the order dated 1st March, 2017, it was also recorded that since the charge-sheet stood filed in the case, it shall be open to the petitioner to raise all submissions available to him at the stage of consideration of charge. Thereafter, the matter was adjourned while directing the State to disclose as to what further steps have been taken in relation to show-cause notice issued to SI Ravi Kumar.

Today it is informed by learned ASC for the State that pursuant to the direction given vide order dated 1st March, 2017 by this Court, Action Taken Report has already been filed. In the Action Taken Report, it is mentioned that show cause notice issued to SI Ravi Kumar has been confirmed and his conduct for the above said lapse has been censured. 6.

In view of the above, nothing further survives in this writ petition and the same stands disposed of.
