O R D E R

% 25.11.2016 The petitioner seeks a direction that the respondents should provisionally release the goods imported by it under the bill of entry dated 25.10.2016 and also a further direction to issue the detention certificate for the said goods.

Learned counsel appearing for the first respondent, on instructions, submits that the petitioner's request is under consideration and an appropriate order would be made. It is also pointed out by the petitioner that a sum of `50 lakhs had been deposited during investigation.

The respondents while issuing the provisional release order

shall also take into account appropriately and adjust, if necessary, the amounts so deposited subject to final orders in the assessment proceedings. The respondents shall make every endeavour to comply with the Court's order at its earliest convenience and within two weeks from today.

Writ Petition stands disposed of in the above terms. A copy of this order be given dasti to the parties under the signatures of Court Master.
