W.P.(CRL) 3379/2016 It is prayed that in view of settlement arrived at between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2, present FIR No.686/2015 under Sections 498A/406/354/506/34 IPC registered at police station Sangam Vihar on the complaint of respondent no.2 be quashed.

Petitioner nos.2 to 6 are the relatives of petitioner no.1.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has

been identified by ASI Dhanbir Singh PS Sangam Vihar. She admits that petitioner no.1 has pronounced Talaaq.

Settlement has been arrived at between the parties before the Court of Principal Judge, South District, Family Courts, Saket, New Delhi. Respondent no.2 admits having received the entire settled amount. She has no objection in case the FIR is quashed. Keeping in mind the facts that FIR is outcome of the matrimonial disputes between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 and that they have settled the matter, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No.686/2015 under Sections 498A/406/354/506/34 IPC registered at police station Sangam Vihar, is quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
