% 12.07.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Court, Delhi on 4th January, 2016; therefore, FIR No. 29/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Crime (Women) Cell may be quashed. Petitioner nos. 2 to 6 are relatives of petitioner no. 1. Marriage between the petitioner no. 1 and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 26th September, 2016 passed by the Principal Judge, Family Court, West District, Delhi. Petitioner no. 1

has paid the balance settled amount of `1 lac to the respondent no. 2 in Court today vide a demand draft, photocopy whereof has been placed on record. Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Gajender Singh, CWC/Malviya Nagar. Respondent no. 2 submits that she has received entire settled amount and is not willing to pursue the FIR any further, in terms of the settlement. Keeping in mind that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably, inasmuch as, have obtained a decree of divorce by mutual consent, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 29/2015 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Crime (Women) Cell and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous.
