% 07.12.2016 On the complaint of respondent no.2, present FIR 256/2016 under Sections 498-A/406 IPC was registered against the petitioner and his family members at police station Uttam Nagar.

Petitioner and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Court, Delhi. Respondent no. 2 (complainant) is present in Court and admits that she has settled the matter before the aforesaid Mediation Centre on the terms and conditions as stipulated in the proceeding sheets of learned Mediator dated 17th May, 2016. She further submits that she has settled the matter of her own free will and without any force, undue pressure or coercion which has also been so recorded in the mediation proceedings, duly signed by the petitioner and respondent no.2. She further submits that she has received the entire settled

amount in terms of the settlement. Respondent no.2 admits that petitioner has pronounced talaq.

She has no objection in case the FIR is quashed against the petitioner as well as her in-laws. Photocopy of the settlement arrived at before the Mediation Centre is Annexure P-1. In view of the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 256/2016 under Sections 498-A/406 IPC registered at police station Uttam Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
