O R D E R

% 15.12.2016 At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners has tendered in Court a compromise-cum-settlement deed dated 16.11.2016 arrived at between the parties. The same is taken on record.

The petitioners have filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.287/2016 registered on the complaint of the complainant under Sections 498A/ 406/ 420/ 34 IPC against the petitioners at Police Station - Jagat Puri. Issue notice. Mr. Avi Singh accepts notice on behalf of the State.

Respondents No.2 & 3 are present in person. Their counsel also puts in appearance. He has tendered in Court his Vakalatnama, which is taken on record.

The parties have arrived at a settlement on 16.11.2016, which has been placed on record. The respondent No.2/ complainant states that he has not been subjected to any pressure or coercion and that he has entered the settlement out of his own free will. The complainant further states that he joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR in question. Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings emanating therefrom. The same are hereby quashed.
