O R D E R

% 21.11.2016 Marital discord between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 had led to registration of the present FIR. Petitioner nos.2 & 3 are the relatives of petitioner no.1.

Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes before the Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre vide Settlement Agreement dated 25th February, 2015. Their marriage has already been dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual consent on 27th July, 2016. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Mahi Pal PS Malviya Nagar. She admits having settled the matter with the petitioners and having received the entire settled amount. She has no objection in case, the FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind the facts that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably, inasmuch as, the entire settled amount has been received and their marriage has already been dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual consent, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, FIR No.143/2015 under Section 406/498A/34 IPC registered at police station Malviya Nagar is quashed.

Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. A.K. PATHAK, J.
