% 06.07.2017 It is submitted that petitioners (accused) and respondent no. 2 (complainant) are neighbours. Disputes arose between them on some trivial issue, which led to registration of the present FIR no. 47/2017 under Sections 323/448/452/380/342/354/354(A)/506/509/34 IPC at Police Station Prasad Nagar, on the complaint of respondent no. 2. With the intervention of their common friend and other family members, they have settled their disputes amicably. Petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 had entered into a Settlement Agreement dated 2nd June, 2017 on certain terms and conditions, photocopy whereof has been placed on record. Respondent no. 2 is present

in Court and has been identified by SI Baljinder Singh, P.S. Parsad Nagar. Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter with the petitioners in order to maintain harmonious relation in future. She submits that though no written settlement has been executed between her and the petitioner no. 2 but she is not willing to pursue the FIR against either of the petitioners, in view of the settlement arrived at and terms whereof having been complied with. Respondent no. 2 further submits that FIR may be quashed. Keeping in mind that petitioners and respondent no. 2 are neighbours and that they have settled the matter in order to maintain harmonious relation in future, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, FIR no. 47/2017 under Sections 323/448/452/380/342/354/354(A)/506/509/34 IPC registered at Police Station Prasad Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
