O R D E R

% 21.11.2016 Petitioner no.1 is husband of respondent no.2. Petitioner nos.2 to 7 are the relatives of petitioner no.1. On the complaint of respondent no.2, FIR No.49/2015 under Section 498A/406/34 IPC was registered at police station Bawana.

Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes before the Family Court, North West District, Rohini. It is submitted that marriage between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual consent. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by ASI Narender Kumar PS Bawana.

She submits that she has settled the matter with petitioner no.1 with her own free will and without any undue force, coercion and pressure.

She further submits that she has received the entire settled amount from petitioner no1 and has no objection in case FIR is quashed. Keeping in mind the facts that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably, inasmuch as, the entire settled amount has been received and their marriage has already been dissolved by decree of divorce by mutual consent, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, FIR No.49/2015 under Section 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Bawana is quashed. Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
