Present Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of Indian read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.555/2016 registered under Sections 354(D)/506 IPC at PS Shakarpur. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably with the complainant / respondent No.2.

Complainant / respondent No.2 is present in the Court. She informs that the matter has been settled with the petitioner and she has no objection to the quashing of the FIR in question. 3.

It is informed that the petitioner was involved in two other FIRs W.P.(CRL) 3342/2016

registered against him prior to the lodging of the present FIR for similar offence. Learned counsel for the petitioner informs that the said FIRs have since been quashed on the basis of settlement with the victims.

Registration of the earlier FIRs for similar offence against the petitioner reveals that he is in the habit of indulging in such activities. Quashing of the earlier two petitioners lodged by FIR No.58/2013 and FIR No.959/2012 had no impact upon him to reform. 5.

Considering the gravity of the allegations against the petitioner and the fact that he is habitual in committing the similar offence, no sufficient ground for quashing of the FIR. The petitioner must face trial.

The petition lacks in merits and is dismissed. S.P.GARG, J.
