O R D E R

% 21.11.2016 On the oral prayer made by the petitioners, Balkishan Sinsinwar, husband of respondent no.2 is impleaded as respondent no.3. Amended memo of parties be filed during course of the day. Petitioners and respondent nos.2 & 3 are living in the same vicinity. A quarrel took place between petitioners and respondent nos.2 & 3, which led to the registration of present FIR No.347/2016 under Section 354/509/323/34 IPC at police station Roop Nagar. It is noted that on the complaint of petitioner no.2, a cross FIR No.337/2016 was registered under Sections 323/354/506/34 IPC in the same police station. Petitioners and

respondent nos.2 & 3 have settled their disputes vide compromise deed dated 18th November, 2016. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and submits that in view of the settlement, she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further against the petitioners and respondent no.3. Keeping in mind the facts that a quarrel took place between the neighbours resulting in lodging of cross FIRs and the parties have settled the disputes, I am of the view that no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings, which are at the investigation stage, pending. Accordingly, FIR No.347/2016 under Section 354/509/323/34 IPC registered at police station Roop Nagar is quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
