% 09.12.2016 The petitioners have filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.420/2016 registered on the complaint of the complainant under Sections 336 IPC against the petitioners at Police Station Paschim Vihar. The complainant is present in Court with his counsel. He is identified by the Investigating Officer.
The parties have arrived at a settlement on 19.11.2016, which has been placed on record. The complainant states that he has not been subjected to any pressure or coercion and that he has entered the settlement out of his own free will. The complainant further states that he joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR in question.
The petitioner submits that in view of the fact that he fired from his firearm in the air without any rhyme or reason, with a view to atone for his conduct he is ready and willing to surrender the arms and arm license. Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings emanating therefrom. The same are hereby quashed subject to the petitioner surrendering his arm and license before the appropriate authority within two weeks. A copy of proof of the same be submitted to the IO and whereafter the case shall be closed. Dasti.
