% 07.03.2017 1.
This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.265/2010 under Section 498A IPC registered at Police Station Vasant Kunj North. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably and the petitioner and Respondent No.2 are living together happily in the matrimonial home for the last about one year. 2.
Respondent No.2/ Complainant is present before the Court with her counsel and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have CRL.M.C. 4506/2016
enquired from her whether the matter has been settled with the petitioners amicably without fear and pressure. She has stated that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure and she is living happily in the matrimonial home for the last about one year. 3.
Since the matter has been settled between the parties and the complainant is residing with the petitioner in the matrimonial home, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings under Section 498A IPC. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to maintain their matrimonial relations, FIR No.265/2010 under Section 498A IPC registered at Police Station Vasant Kunj North and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed. 4.
The petition and all pending application(s) stand disposed of accordingly.
