Appellant has filed an appeal for reduction of the award dated 21.09.2016 passed by the learned MACT awarding compensation of Rs.15,67,450/ /- along with interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of the claim petition. On appeal, the insurance company deposited the entire awarded amount along with up-to-date interest with the Registrar General of this Hon'ble Court in terms of order dated 21.12.2016 and 50% of the awarded amount was already directed to be released to the respondents/claimants in terms of award of the Tribunal. 2.

After compressive discussions, it is agreed between the parties that out of the balance deposited amount along with the accrued interest The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. lying before the Tribunal, lump sum amount of Rs. 94,000/- be refunded to the insurance company and balance amount lying deposited before the Tribunal along with the total interest after deducting Rs. 94,000/- shall go to respondents 1 to 5.

In view of the above settlement, it is directed that the balance amount lying deposited before the Tribunal along with the total interest after deducting Rs. 94,000/- be released to respondents 1 to 5 as per the proportions detailed in the award subject to the compliance of all the requisite formalities.

Needless to say that the appellant shall be entitled to refund of the statutory amount along with interest and direction is issued to refund the same to the appellant.

In terms of the aforesaid, the present appeal along with pending application (s) stand disposed of.
