O R D E R

% 10.01.2017 The latest nominal roll has been received. The status report tendered in court is taken on record, which shows that the address of the petitioner has been got verified.

The petitioner seeks parole so as to re-establish his social ties. The nominal roll shows that the petitioner stands convicted u/s 7 of the PC Act. He is undergoing a sentence of 3 years RI with fine in respect of the offence u/s 7 and is also undergoing a 3 years RI with fine in respect of offence u/s 13(2) of the said Act.

As on 09.12.2016, the petitioner has undergone 1 year 6 months and 18 days incarceration. The jail conduct of the petitioner is satisfactory. He was granted parole for a period of one month between 29.01.2016 and 01.03.2016 by this court lastly.

In view of the aforesaid circumstances, the petition is allowed. The petitioner is directed to be released on parole for a period of four weeks subject to:

i) his furnishing personal bond with one surety in the sum of Rs.20,000/- to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent; ii) he shall provide his mobile phone number to the Jail Superintendent at the time of his release, which shall be kept in working condition at all times. The same shall not be changed without prior intimation to the Jail Superintendent;

iii) he shall report at the local police station to mark his attendance on every Monday at 11:00 a.m. during the period of parole; iv) he shall duly surrender at the end of the period of parole; and v) he shall also not indulge in any criminal activity while on parole. Dasti.
