This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.51/2013 under Section 406/498A/34 IPC registered at PS Palam Village. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably and the petitioner No.1 and Respondent No.2 are living together happily in the matrimonial home.

Respondent No.2/ Complainant is present before the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from her whether the matter has been settled with the petitioners amicably without fear and pressure. She has stated that the matter has been CRL.M.C. 4529/2016
settled without any fear or pressure and she is living happily in the matrimonial home for the last about nine months. She has no objection to the quashing of the FIR.

Since the matter has been settled between the parties and the complainant is residing with petitioner No.1 in the matrimonial home happily, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings under Sections 406/498A/34 IPC. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to maintain their matrimonial relations, FIR No.51/2013 under Section 406/498A/34 IPC registered at PS Palam Village and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
