% 05.12.2018 Application of the respondent under Section 125 Cr.P.C. for interim maintenance is pending before the Family Court for more than one year. During pendency of the said application, by placing reliance on Kusum Sharma vs. Mahinder Kumar Sharma, AIR 2015 Delhi 53, trial court directed the petitioner to pay `1,00,000/- to respondent, vide order dated 20th December, 2017. Trial court has again directed the petitioner to pay another sum of `2,00,000/- to respondent, vide order dated 18th May, 2018. I am of the view that trial court has to make endeavour to dispose of the application for interim maintenance expeditiously instead of keeping the said application pending and awarding the lump sum amounts from time to time without any basis.

In the above facts, without commenting upon the merits and demerits of the allegations and counter allegations, this petition is disposed of with the directions to Family Court to dispose of the interim maintenance application of respondent within three months from today. A.K. PATHAK, J.
