% 10.07.2017 Issue notice. Mr.Yeeshu Jain, Advocate for the respondent accepts notice. The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent to forward his reference stated to have been preferred on 05.01.2011 to the appropriate Court under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. The respondent's counter with the content that the application for reference is made far beyond the period of limitation since award was made sometime in 1992. Considering the limited nature of the relief and the fact that the issue of limitation is to be first addressed by the LAC, the Court is of the opinion that the thresh-hold issue of limitation and its maintainability in that regard should be first examined by the LAC. Needless to say, LAC shall give reasonable and adequate notice and opportunity to the petitioner in this regard before making any orders. The order shall be communicated to the petitioner directly.
