% 01.12.2016 Marital discord between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 had led to registration of present FIR No.248/2012 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC at police station Seelam Pur.
Petitioner nos.2 to 5 are the relatives of petitioner no.1.
Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes vide compromise deed dated 20th August, 2016. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and submits that she has settled the matter with petitioner no.1, of her own free will and without any undue influence, pressure and coercion. Respondent no.2 admits having received the entire settled amount. She submits that she has no objection in case FIR is quashed. Keeping in mind the facts that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2
have settled their disputes amicably and respondent no.2 is not willing to pursue the FIR any further, in the interest of justice, FIR No.248/2012 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Seelam Pur is quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
