O R D E R

% 24.09.2018 Mr. Rahul Mehra, the learned Standing Counsel for the State assures the Court, upon instructions, that the orders of the nature passed in this case are strongly deprecated by and will be looked into by the Department of Home administratively and if required Departmental Enquiry shall be initiated against the officer concerned. He also states that the order passed in this case shall be reviewed by the Department at the highest level and all officers concerned shall be duly sensitized about the nature of orders to be passed in such applications.

The petitioner seeks parole for maintaining social ties with his family members and society. He has undergone imprisonment for more than 10 years 3 months and 19 days and earned remission of 1 year 5 months and 17

days as of 04.09.2018. The petitioner's address has been verified. He has never misused the liberty granted to him earlier. His conduct in jail is stated to be satisfactory.

In view of the above, the Court finds no impediment in allowing the present petition. Consequently, the petitioner is granted parole for a period of ten weeks from the date of his release on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent concerned subject to the following conditions:- (1) The petitioner shall report to the SHO, concerned Police Station, Uttam Nagar, once a week on every Tuesday during the period of parole.

(2) He shall furnish his telephone number to the SHO concerned, which the petitioner shall keep operational at all times (3) He shall not leave the territory of NCT of Delhi. (4) The petitioner shall surrender before the jail authorities at the expiry of the period of parole.

A copy of this order shall be delivered upon the Jail Superintendent concerned through the State.

With the above directions the Writ Petition is disposed-off. NAJMI WAZIRI, J.
