% 31.07.2017 Mr.Piyush Singhal, learned counsel for the state submits that while convicting the petitioner, a direction was issued to the competent authority, not to consider any application for parole or remission on behalf of the petitioner unless notice of the same is given to Ms.Neelam Katara as well as Mr.Ajay Katara and giving them an opportunity of being heard. The request of the petitioner is still pending consideration before the competent authority.

It has been informed by the State that the competent authority would be taking a decision on the request of the petitioner shortly, preferably within a period of four weeks.

In that view of the matter, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present writ petition in order to await the order of the competent authority after hearing Ms.Neelam Kataria and Mr.Ajay Kataria with respect to his release on parole. Dismissed as withdrawn.
