The petitioner/convict has filed the present writ petition (criminal) under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for grant of parole. 2.
It is submitted that the brother's wife of the petitioner/convict namely Smt. Meenu W/o Sh. Ravinder had expired on 02.07.2017 and her last ceremony i.e. Tehravi is to take place on 10.07.2017 at 10.00 AM at House No. 439, Village Jasaur Kheri, District Jhajjar, Haryana-124505. 3.
Verification report has been filed on behalf of the State. Nominal roll has also been received. The death of the wife of the brother of the petitioner is not disputed. It is also not disputed by the State that the Tehravi ceremony is to take place on 10.07.2017.

However, learned ASC submits that earlier the petitioner/convict was
released on interim bail on 20.12.2010 by the order of this court. He jumped the bail since 10.01.2011. He was arrested on 29.01.2013 and committed murder and a case bearing FIR No. 177/2012 under Section 302/201/120B IPC, PS Nazafgarh, Delhi was registered.

In these circumstances, it is directed that the petitioner/convict be released on custodial parole to enable him to attend the Tehravi ceremony of his brother's wife at House No. 439, Village Jasaur Kheri, District Jhajjar, Haryana-124505. The Jail Superintendent Jail is directed to depute escort in plain clothes to take the petitioner/convict on 10.07.2017 to House No. 439, Village Jasaur Kheri, District Jhajjar, Haryana-124505 accordingly so as to reach there before 10.00 AM and the escort officials will bring him back on 11.07.2017.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
