% 10.01.2017 The petitioner has filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.272/2016 registered on the complaint of the complainant under Sections 420/120B IPC against the petitioners at Police Station Amar Colony. The complainant is present in Court. He is identified by the Investigating Officer.
The parties have arrived at a settlement on 20.09.2016, which has been placed on record. Under the settlement, out of the total settlement amount of Rs.70,000/-, the complainant has already received an amount of Rs.35,000/. The balance amount of Rs.35,000/- has been tendered to him in
Court today by way of pay order dated 09.01.2017 drawn on Yes Bank. The complainant states that he has not been subjected to any pressure or coercion and that he has entered the settlement out of his own free will. The complainant further states that he joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR in question.
Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings emanating therefrom. The same are hereby quashed.
