Issue notice. The learned counsel for the respondent accepts notice. 2.

The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that respondent nos.1 & 2 be directed to provide Acid Burn Injury Percentage Medical Certificate. The petitioner claims that the petitioner was treated for Acid Burn Injuries in the LNJP Hospital. The petitioner has also produced copies of documents to evidence the same.

Apparently, the Acid Burn Injury Percentage Medical Certificate has not been issued to the petitioner as the records are untraceable.

Clearly, such certificate cannot be denied for want of records and it would be incumbent on the hospital authorities to find a reasonable solution so that the petitioner is not prejudiced.

This may include taking the statement of the treating doctors and issuing the certificate pursuant thereto. 4.

Needless to mention that first step ought to be to locate the records. It

is difficult to accept a hospital misplacing the medical records of its patients. 5.

In the aforesaid circumstances, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent nos.2 and 3 to consider the case of the petitioner and if justified, issue the necessary certificate within a period of two weeks from today.
