O R D E R

% 21.11.2017 On oral prayer made by learned counsel for petitioner, relatives of petitioner namely Nirmala Devi, Jitender Kumar, Anil Kumar, Rakhi, Pravesh, Nisha, Dilip, Soniya, Rupesh and Monika, are impleaded as petitioner nos. 2 to 11 respectively. Amended memo of parties is taken on record.

Ms. Preeti, respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by ASI Khushi Ram police station Khyala. She submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner before the Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 22nd February, 2016 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. Her marriage with petitioner has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent on 11th November, 2016 passed by the Family Courts, West District, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi.

Respondent no.2 submits that she has received the entire settled amount, therefore, she has no objection in case FIR No.596/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Khyala is quashed. Keeping in mind that matter has been settled between the petitioner and respondent no.2, inasmuch as, their marriage has been dissolved, in the interest of justice, the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed.
