% 23.10.2017 Respondent no.2-Ms. Neetu Tayal @ Sakshi is present in Court and has been identified by W/SI Sushma of police station Maruice Nagar. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner no.1 before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Court, Delhi on 11th April, 2016 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that her marriage with the petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 12th January, 2017 passed by the Family Court, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi. She has no objection in case FIR is quashed.

In view of the settlement arrived at between the petitioner no.1 and

respondent no.2 before the Mediation Centre; more particularly the fact that their marriage has already been dissolved, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 55/2009 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Maurice Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
