% 14.07.2017 None appears on behalf of the petitioner, at the second call. There was no appearance on behalf of the petitioner, at the first call, either. The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, essentially prayed for the issuance of a writ of habeas corpus, commanding the official respondents to produce the minor daughter, namely, Ms. Shadma Ansari, aged about 16 years and 9 months, before this Court. The status report dated 13th July, 2017, has been filed on behalf of the Station House Officer, Police Station Bara Hindu Rao. The same is taken on record. A perusal of the same would reveal that Ms. Shadma Ansari, the minor daughter of the petitioner, has recorded her statement under Section 164 Cr.PC before Sh. Sachin Gupta, learned Metropolitan Magistrate, wherein, W.P.(CRL) 1956/2017
she has narrated that she left her parental home on 12th July, 2017 at 11:00 AM of her own free will to live with one Faizan Shehzad @ Mohd. Faizan. Ms. Shadma Ansari was thereafter sent by the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) to the protection home 'Kilkari'. The salient feature of the status report is to the effect that the petitioner has since moved the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and obtained the custody of his minor daughter. In view of the foregoing, no further directions are called for, in the petition. The petition is dismissed and disposed off. SIDDHARTH MRIDUL, J.
