O R D E R

% 14.07.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably, therefore, FIR No. 723/15 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Sarita Vihar on the complaint of respondent no.2, may be quashed. Petitioner nos. 2 to 6 are relatives of petitioner no.1.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel. She has been identified by SI Satish Chand of police station Sarita Vihar. She admits having settled the matter with the petitioner no.1 and his relatives of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She also admits that her marriage with the petitioner no.1 has already been

dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent on 28th November, 2016 passed by the Family Court, Saket, New Delhi. She submits that she has received the entire settled amount of `12 lacs and has no objection in quashing of the present FIR.

Keeping in mind that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably and the fact that respondent no.2 is not willing to pursue the FIR, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 723/2015 under Sections 498A-/406/34 IPC registered at police station Sarita Vihar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
