% 17.07.2017 It is submitted that petitioner and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Karkardooma Courts, Delhi on 25th May, 2017 vide Annexure P-3, therefore, present FIR may be quashed.
Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by ASI Jaiveer Singh of police station Khajuri Khas. She admits having settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She also admits that petitioner has already pronounced Talaq to her. She submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR in view of the settlement and the same may be quashed.
Keeping in mind that the parties have settled their disputes before the Mediation Centre and the fact that respondent no.2 is not willing to pursue the FIR, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 512/2013 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Khajuri Khas and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
