% 05.04.2018 By this petition the petitioner seeks parole and challenges the communication dated 09.06.2017 rejecting grant of parole sought on the ground of re-establishing social ties and filing of the Special Leave Petition. Learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State has handed over the nominal roll which is taken on record. He further states that co-convict Saleem @ Mendak was granted parole has since surrendered to custody. As per the status report the family of the petitioner comprises of his father and two children who have been left behind by his wife who has deserted them and are residing at Jhuggi No.14, T-Hut O-Block Sunder Nagri, Delhi.

Considering the fact that the petitioner has roots in the society and as per the nominal roll he has spent more than four years out of seven years imprisonment awarded, this Court deems it fit to grant parole to the petitioner. It is therefore directed that the petitioner be released on parole for four weeks in the sum of ₹10,000/- with one surety of the like amount subject to the satisfaction of the Superintendent Manodoli Jail. Copy of this order be communicated to the petitioner through Superintendent Mandoli Jail.
