CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R D E R
% 13.07.2017 Crl. M.A. 10836/2017 Allowed, subject to all just exceptions.
Application is disposed of.
Crl. M.C. 2602/2017 After resolving their differences husband (petitioner no.1) and wife (respondent no.2) are living together for the last two years. Petitioner nos. 2 to 4 are relatives of petitioner no.1.
Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by ASI Rajender Singh of police station Tilak Nagar. She confirms that she has settled the matter with the petitioner no.1 of her own free will and without
any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further says that she has been living with the petitioner no.1 for the last two years. She is not willing to pursue the FIR any further in view of the settlement. Keeping in view that both husband and wife have ironed out their differences and have started living together, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 68/2015 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Tilak Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
A.K. PATHAK, J.
