2.1 Mr. Vikram Narayan Vasudeva accepts notice for the respondent. 3.

This is a petition seeking extension of time for enabling the arbitral tribunal to conclude the proceedings pending before it. The record shows that the appointment of the sole Arbitrator took place on 22.6.2017. Learned Arbitrator entered upon reference on 24.7.2017. 4.

I am informed by the counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner, which is the claimant before the arbitral tribunal, has concluded its arguments in the matter.

Mr. Vasudeva, who, appears for the respondent, says that while the respondent has no objection to the extension of time, its rights and contentions should not be impacted only on account of the fact that the respondent is agreeable to the extension of time for conclusion of the arbitration proceedings.

Having regard to the contentions made before me and upon perusal of the record, I am inclined, for the moment, to extend time by a period of six

(06) months for conclusion of the proceedings pending before the arbitral tribunal. Time for this purpose will commence from today. 7.

Needless to say, the extension of time will not impact the rights and contentions of either party.
