% 15.10.2018 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent nos. 2 to 4 are neighbours.

FIR No. 398/2011 under Sections 452/354/323/34 IPC was registered at police station Jyoti Nagar on the complaint of Smt. Madhu Arora (wife of respondent no.2), who has since died on 21.07.2015. Photocopy of her death certificate has been placed on record. It is further submitted that in the incident respondent no. 2 had sustained simple injuries. Petitioners and respondent nos. 2 to 4 have settled their disputes amicably vide Compromise Deed dated 16.02.2018, therefore, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings may be quashed. Respondent nos. 2 to 4 are present in Court and have been identified by SI Ashwani of police station Jyoti Nagar. They submit that they have settled

the matter with petitioners of their own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion and have no objection in case the FIR is quashed against the petitioner.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent nos.2 to 4 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
