CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R D E R
% 22.12.2016 Petitioners are students. On the complaint of respondent no.2, FIR 951/14 under Sections 354A/509/34 IPC was registered against the petitioners at police station Saket. Respondent no.2 alleged in the FIR that petitioners used obscene language and made cheap comments and when she and her sister-in-law objected to their this act, they scuffled with them. Respondent no.2 and petitioners have settled their disputes.
Respondent no.2 submits that keeping in view the future of the petitioners, who are students, she has pardoned them and is not willing to pursue the FIR any further and the same may be quashed.
Keeping in view that petitioners and respondent no.2 have settled the matter and respondent no.2 is not willing to pursue the FIR, in the interest of
justice, FIR 951/14 under Sections 354A/509/34 IPC registered at police station Saket and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed subject to, however, petitioners rendering some social service. During the course of hearing, it is suggested that petitioners may be asked to assist traffic police in regulating the traffic. Accordingly, it is ordered that petitioners will report to the SHO of police station Saket on 26th December, 2016 at 10:00 am, who will depute them on traffic signals to assist the traffic constables, in managing the traffic for one week during normal working hours.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
