% 19.12.2016 This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. The petitioner seeks a writ of habeas corpus. Direction is sought to produce his wife Geeta, who is stated to be illegally detained by respondents no.3 and 4. On the first date of hearing, Geeta was present in Court. Geeta had stated that she voluntarily married the petitioner, but subsequently she learnt that Deepak Pandey is already married to Mansha Devi. Petitioner Deepak Pandey also made a categorical statement that he has not married Mansha Devi. Just to clarify the issue, we requested the presence of Mansha Devi. Today Mansha Devi is present in Court along with her father. She submits that she is married to Deepak Pandey. Deepak Pandey again submits that his father was forcing him to get marry to Mansha Devi in the year 2010, but no marriage ceremony was performed. At this stage, counsel for the petitioner, on instructions from the petitioner, wishes to withdraw the petition.
