The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying as under:- "It is, therefore, most respectfully prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to issue Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent No. 2 herein to proceed with the disposal of the appeal no. 1046/ SOC/N of 2006 titled "Surat Singh Bath V/s The Consolidation Officer etc"., lastly i.e., during the year 2013-14, pending adjudication, before the SDM/ Settlement Officer (Consolidation) North i.e., respondent no. 2 herein, at BDO Office Complex, Naya Bans, Alipur, Delhi, now learnt to have been shifted at the Office of the DC (North) Kanjhawla, Delhi."

The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the relevant files, which had been misplaced have now been re-constructed and the proceedings have recommenced. He states that the said appeal would be disposed of within a period of six months from today in accordance with law.

In view of the aforesaid statement, the petitioner does not press the present petition reserving the liberty to file afresh, if his grievance persists. 4.
