O R D E R

% 10.07.2015 The petitioner is aggrieved by the order dated 11.3.2015 passed by the competent authority whereby his prayer to be released on parole has been rejected on the ground that the reasons for seeking the parole does not appear to be genuine.

The petitioner applied before the competent authority for release on parole for undertaking repairs of the old house which has become unliveable as also for connecting social ties.

A look at the nominal roll discloses that the petitioner was granted furlough for seven times, the last one being on 31.3.2015 to 22.4.2015. The petitioner was punished on two dates for recovery of tobacco and misbehaviour, however, his overall conduct in jail has been satisfactory. Mr.Sanjay Lao, learned Additional Standing Counsel during the course of hearing filed the status report.

Let it be taken on record.

The status report also discloses that the house in which the mother of the petitioner is residing is no doubt old but it is worth living. The status report also points out that the first address which was given by the petitioner was found to have been sold off.

Considering the fact that the petitioner has been released on furlough for about seven times and no satisfactory ground has been taken by him for grant of parole, this Court is not inclined to either set aside the order dated 11.3.2015 or grant parole to him for the present. In case, the petitioner would require to be released on parole later, he may apply before the competent authority, who would pass necessary orders, without being prejudiced to the fact that such an application was rejected by this Court on a prior occasion.

Application is disposed of.
