% 09.12.2016 Crl. M.A. No. 19247/2016 Allowed, subject to all just exceptions. Application is disposed of. W.P.(CRL.) No. 3526/2016 Petitioner no. 1 is brother-in-law, petitioner no. 2 is sister-in-law and petitioner no. 3 is mother-in-law of the respondent no. 2. On the complaint of respondent no. 2, present FIR No. 833/2014 under Sections 498-A/34 IPC was registered at Police Station Mahendra Park against the petitioners. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and submits that she has resolved the

differences with the petitioners and is presently living in the same house for the last one year. At present, she has no complaint against the petitioners. She submits that in view of the settlement, which has been arrived at between her and the petitioners, she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further.

She further submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, coercion and pressure.

Keeping in mind that respondent no. 2 has resolved the differences with the petitioners and they are living in the same house, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep them entangled in the criminal proceedings. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, the FIR No. 833/2014 under Sections 498-A/34 IPC registered at Police Station Mahendra Park, which is at the investigation stage, is quashed.
