Application is disposed of. CRL.M.C. No.1377/2018 Complainant/respondent no. 2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Manmeet Singh of police station Ranjit Nagar. It is submitted that petitioners are her relatives. Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter with petitioners of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion, vide a Compromise Deed
dated 19th October, 2015, which has been placed on record as Annexure P-1. Affidavit of respondent no. 2 has also been annexed with this petition. Respondent no. 2 says that she has no objection in case FIR is quashed against the petitioner.
Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No.222/2012 under Sections 308/34 IPC registered at Police Station Ranjit Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
