% 14.07.2017 It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Rohini on 9th July, 2016 vide Annexure P-2. Marriage between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 has also been dissolved by a decree of divorce my mutual consent by the Family Court, Rohini on 2nd March, 2017. Respondent no.2, who is present in Court with her counsel, has been identified by SI Yag Dutt of police station K.N.Katju Marg. She admits having settled the matter with the petitioner no.1 of her free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. Petitioner nos. 2 to 4 are relatives of petitioner no.1.

Respondent no.2 also admits that her marriage with the

petitioner no.1 has already been dissolved. Balance settled amount of `2.5 lacs has also been paid by the petitioner no.1 to the respondent no.2 in Court by way of a demand draft, photocopy whereof has been placed on record. Respondent no.2 submits that she has no objection in case the FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have decided to part their ways, inasmuch as, have obtained a decree of divorce by mutual consent and that respondent no.2 has no objection in quashing of the FIR, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 1/2016 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act registered at police station K.N. Katju Marg, which is at the investigation stage, is quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
