W.P.(CRL) 2032/2017 The petitioners who are majors have married of their own volition on 09.06.2017. This marriage has not been accepted by the family members of the petitioners. As such the petitioners are being troubled at their instance. The petitioners have apprehension of their being kidnapped and killed. The petitioners have reported about an occurrence some days before wherein some of the respondents threw stones at the house where the petitioners reside.

The SHO of the concerned police station is directed to afford all protection to the petitioners. The petitioners shall be provided the telephone

number of two of the officers posted in the police station. The petitioners also need to be assured that in case of any call in distress, the same shall be promptly responded to. The SHO shall also consider the desirability of meeting the respondents and making them understand that any action which breaches law shall be seriously dealt with.

For the aforesaid, the petitioners would be required to give their telephone numbers to the learned counsel appearing for the State who shall transmit the same to the SHO of the concerned police station The address of the petitioners shall be given to the SHO, who shall not disclose the same for the time being to any other person.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. Dasti.
