O R D E R

% 07.03.2018 By this petition the petitioner seeks parole for a period of three months on the ground that the petitioner has to contest Criminal Appeal filed against him before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and thus he wanted to engage a private counsel. No order of rejection has been filed with the petition and there are communications wherein the Superintendent, Jail has asked the petitioner to approach the Supreme Court Legal Services Committee.

Learned proxy counsel for learned Standing Counsel for the State has handed over a copy of the communication dated 13th July, 2017, which is taken on record, as per which the application for grant of parole was rejected W.P.(CRL) 2067/2017

by the competent authority on the ground that a period of six months had not elapsed from the date of termination of the previous parole. A perusal of the Nominal Roll of the petitioner reveals that the petitioner was granted parole for a period of four weeks w.e.f. 3rd May, 2017 to 31st May, 2017. Learned proxy counsel for learned Standing Counsel has handed over the latest Nominal Roll of the petitioner. As per the said Nominal Roll after the rejection of the earlier application petitioner was granted parole by the Government of NCT of Delhi for a period of four weeks w.e.f. 10th January, 2018 to 7th February, 2018.

The petitioner having already been granted parole, the present petition is dismissed as infructuous.
