% 15.03.2018 Learned counsels for the petitioner and respondent no. 2 submit that matter has been settled between the petitioner and respondent no.2 today itself, vide a Compromise Deed dated 15th March, 2018; therefore, FIR No. 82/2014 under Sections 354/509/506/341/323/384/427 IPC registered at police station Maurice Nagar on the complaint of respondent no. 2, may be quashed. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Saris Khan of police station Maurice Nagar. Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter with petitioner of her own free will, voluntarily and without any undue force, pressure or coercion vide

a Compromise Deed dated 15th March, 2018. Respondent no. 2 has placed on record her affidavit, wherein she has categorically stated that she has no objection in case aforesaid FIR is quashed.

Keeping in view of the compromise arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.

Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 82/2014 under Sections 354/509/506/341/323/384/427 IPC registered at police station Maurice Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
