IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI

+ CRL.M.C. 2857/2017 ANEES AHMAD @ RAJU & ORS ..... Petitioners Through:

Mr. Neeraj Bhardwaj, Adv. along with petitioners in person.

versus STATE GOVT OF NCT OF DELHI & ANR ..... Respondents Through:

Ms. Meenakshi Chauhan, APP for State with SI Anpam, P.S.

New Usman Pur.

Respondent no.2 in person.

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R D E R

% 26.07.2017 Respondent no.1 (wife), who is present in Court, says that she has settled the matter with the petitioner no.1 (husband) vide Compromise Deed dated 14th October, 2015 and is living with him for the last two years. She has identified her signatures on the photocopy of the Compromise Deed at point 'X'. She further says that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further.

Keeping in mind that husband and wife have started living together after resolving their differences, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 275/2013 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and

Section 4 of D.P. Act registered at police station New Usman Pur and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous.

Dasti.
