% 20.11.2018 Respondent no.2 Ms.Meenakshi Janghu is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Samarpal of police station EOW. She submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She states that she has married the petitioner on 02.11.2014 according to the Hindu rites and ceremonies.

Respondent no.2 submits that she is not willing to pursue the consequent proceedings any further. She states that she has no objection in case FIR No.89/2014 under Section 66A/66C of Information & Technology Act, 2000 registered at police station EOW is quashed. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and

respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
