Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No. 360/2017 registered under Sections 307 IPC at PS Mehrauli. Status report is on record.

I have heard the learned counsel for the parties and have examined the file. Respondents No.2 & 3 - complainant / victims are present before the Court. I have enquired from them if the matter has been settled with the petitioner amicably without any fear or pressure. They have informed that the matter has been settled with the petitioner amicably with their free consent and they have no objection to the quashing of the FIR in question.

The petition is supported by affidavits of the parties.

Settlement deed dated 14.07.2017 (Annexure 'A-2') signed by the parties is on record. The complainant / victims have been identified by their counsel.

I am satisfied that the matter has been settled between the parties with their free consent without any fear or pressure.

The parties are related to each other. Petiitoner is the father of the respondents No.2 & 3.

Charge-sheet has yet not been filed.

Status report reveals that the petitioner is not involved in any other criminal case. It is further informed by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the arm involved in the incident was a licenced weapon. Nature of injuries sustained by the victim was 'simple'. 5.

Since the dispute between the parties has been settled, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to maintain their close family relations, FIR No. 360/2017 registered under Sections 307 IPC at PS Mehrauli and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed. 6.

The petitioner is directed to deposit ` 20,000/- as costs in the Prime Minister Relief Fund within two weeks. Registry shall ensure its compliance.

The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
