% 31.01.2018 Further status report has been filed on record. We have perused the same.

The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition to seek writ of habeas corpus for production of his son who has gone missing since 28.05.2016. The status reports show that the missing son of the petitioner was identified by inter alia one Babu, son of Sh. Shivraj, r/o Village Gurahat, District Murshidabad, West Bengal, aged 22 years, who works in the parking near Hanuman Mandir. He identified Nasir, the missing son of the petitioner and stated that he saw the missing person 2-3 times near the temple. Earlier too, Nasir was seen

at Kabool Nagar, Shahdara, Nand Nagri and Dilshad Garden, Delhi, which shows that he has been changing his location from time to time. Nasir is 22 years of age and it is not reported that he is mentally unstable. It appears that he has deliberately left his home and does not want to be traced. However, this conclusion obviously cannot be conclusive and final.

In these circumstances, we dispose of this writ petition with direction to the State to continue its effort to locate Nasir. In every four weeks, the petitioner shall be informed of the progress made to locate Nasir. In case any clues are furnished by the petitioner which could be of any help to locate Nasir, the same shall be taken seriously and actioned.
