% 12.10.2018 Petitioner has been charged with commission of offence punishable under section 135/150 of the Electricity Act, 2003. Petitioner was found indulging in direct theft of electricity as he was running an industrial unit with connected load of 62.498 KW, therefore, a theft bill of ₹ 45,77,554/- was raised against him, inasmuch as prosecution was launched before the Special Judge, Electricity Board.
Petitioner has been directed to deposit 25% of the bill amount by the Special Court.
Aggrieved by this order, petitioner has preferred this petition under section 397 read with section 482 Cr.P.C.
I do not find any reason to interfere with the impugned order in exercise of inherent powers of this Court under section 482 Cr.P.C. Petition is dismissed.
